Resting in Rose Shadows is a short film documenting a week in life with "Junior" in his Squat Villa in Barcelona.
Taking a short break from society, everyday norms, not caring, is a comfortable mirage of happiness, euphoria that exceeds all else. Yet fake, and temporary. Junior has been living in squats and eco villages ever since he left home at 16. Planning to sleep on the beach, we met Junior in front of MACBA where we joked around for a bit, before he invited the 6 of us over to his "palace" , where we ended up staying for a couple of weeks. A metaphorical piece, that attempts to recreate the emotional landscape and mind set he stands for and we got to experience.
